New owner for Grand and Noble Productions:
employee Dan Lombardi takes over July 1, 2007
Thea Flaum, TV show producer and trailblazer, has sold her 23-year old company to employee Dan Lombardi, and will move into “a new and exciting challenge” as head of a new non-profit organization.
Lombardi will officially assume ownership on July 1 of one of Chicago’s top and most prolific national TV programming companies.
Few companies can measure up to the output of Grand and Noble Productions (formerly Thea Flaum Productions).
Since 1984, the company has produced more than 22 TV series, adding up to an amazing 501 individual shows, or an extraordinary 21 shows a year. Among the shows currently being shot and edited: The second season of “From Junky to Funky,” 52 weekly, half-hour shows for the DIY network, and “The Shopping Detective,” a 13-week half-hour series that debuts in September 2007 on Scripps' Fine Living Network.
